I work as a patent administrator within the Global Patent department.
This means that I regularly correspond with clients and local attorneys around the world. We overlook the patent process from filing to grant.
Working at Carpmaels & Ransford is a great experience. The environment inside the office is supportive and there is a lot of enthusiasm to get the job done correctly and efficiently. The firm also offers a wide range of social activities. I personally enjoy being in the football team and have also represented the firm in the Great City Race 5k. There are also great social events like the summer and New Year parties.
I joined Carpmaels & Ransford soon after I completed my A levels and had gained some experience working in an office environment.
When I first joined the company, I started as a filing clerk in the Records department before quickly becoming a patent administrator. I was given a lot of opportunities and training to develop my skills and responsibilities internally, as well as liaising with clients. I also had the opportunity to complete the CIPA course, which has enhanced my abilities and given me a good knowledge of patents.
The best part about working at Carpmaels & Ransford is the training and the people. I have progressed so much within my role thanks to all the expert training I have received from my colleagues. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help you whenever you have questions. On top of that I have made some great friends here.
