On 14th September, Carpmaels & Ransford held a virtual open day for 13 Black undergraduate STEM students in partnership with Generating Genius, an organisation which supports talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue STEM careers.

The students enjoyed a series of talks and interactive activities which gave them an insight into the intellectual property profession, the role of a patent attorney and life at Carpmaels & Ransford.

The open day was the latest in a series of initiatives designed to support recruitment diversity and promote social mobility. The firm will also be offering three paid internship positions to Black students through the 10,000 Black Interns programme in 2022.
